So So Busy

Disclaimer:  This is not intended to instill guilt or any other negative emotions.

Make lunch for J and W - mustard, turkey, ham, yellow cheese - not white.  Slice pickles - not long-wise but like nickels.  For fuck sake!  Juice box, chips, apple sauce (not jello because its orange).  W:  'why is orange a color AND a flavor?  How the hell do I know?

Everly to Kelly's - all good there.  E's a champ.  But I can't wait for Rocking Horse.  She is however a little shit now that I've picked her up and she's home.  She claims she took a nap - I don't think so.

J and W to Y camp - W's ankles are crazy with mosquito bites.  I felt like dad of the year for forgetting bug spray yesterday.  Today they were thoroughly doused and were happier for it.  Both looked tired again - do doubt they were on the go.  They certainly don't rant about the fun their having.  I know their enjoying it but it's like pulling teeth to get them to talk about it.

Brenden had his mold for his ortho appliance fitted this morning.  He drove and I'm pretty sure he was partly (or mostly) retarded.  He drove home - still retarded.  He drove to pick up J and W - much better.  He stayed home and had no responsibilities today.  I encouraged him to do something fun - he stayed in the basement and watched TV.  He is now mowing the lawn - thank goodness.

I had 4.5 hours of calls and went to the chiropractor.  My neck is 85%.  The adjustments definitely help.  She uses these queer little clicky tools. I'm pretty sure its just spoons and Lego's but I can't find them after i get off the gurney of pain.  I want so bad to call her a quack and make fun of her profession but I just can't refute that I feel better when I leave her office.  She said 1 to 2 more times and then I'm done - unless i want to come back.

2 more sleeps.  love you

And Another Week Beings

My entry didn't upload - poop!  Must type again.

First day of Y camp.  J and W were a little nervous.  They were both psyched but a little apprehensive - not sure what to expect.  It was cool listening to them talk on the ride to the Y.  They agreed that if one of them was going to do something really fun, that person would tell the other person.  They also agreed to have lunch together.

I picked them up at 4:30 and they are TIRED.  Both had fun but I could tell that they are wiped out.  Archery, swimming, exploring nature (a walk in the FOREST! - really?  says Jackson) , and lots of other cool stuff.  The rope climbed was not cool according to Wilson - too many mosquito's.

E was going to have a fun day with Brenden.  They went to the park and watched TV together.  She was napping in B's room when I got home.

Brenden wants to ask Katie to a movie on Thursday.  His plan, while not all thought out, is to meet her at the mall.  I would drop him off and then pick him up.  He didn't have his plan fully thought out so I asked him to rethink it and get back to me tonight.  Are you okay with that?

Time to make dinner.

Oh Thursday, How I've Missed You

Woke up at 5 to Everly saying "i slept in my bed i slept in my bed'.  'Yea', I say.  Now shut up and go back to sleep.

Quiet house this morning - only E and I until we left at 7:45.  Wilson got up and proclaimed 'I forgot to wear a pullup'.  Ugh - those are some clean comforters, except for the pee part.

My neck is actually worse - how can that be?  I would go the doctor if i thought I could get in today.  I want to cry it hurts so bad.  I took aspirin, darvocet and Advil at varying times of the day yesterday.  So far only 2 Advil's today.

J's soccer tryouts went well.  14 kids and they choose 11 - I've little doubt J will be one of them.  He is FAST compared to the other kids.  Maybe the fastest kid in the group, or his grade, or the school, or Haslett or the WORLD!

Brenden is good - he had an opportunity to try out for a summer Lacrosse league and told me he didn't want to do it.  He also told me he changed his mind on the lacrosse camp. The surprised me.  He said he wanted to save his money.  I told him we would pay half but he still didn't want to.

Were still on for D and Dave's on Sunday but i have no details.  I need to call her.

gotta work - see you soon.

ouch my neck hurts.

Wednesday

E off to Kelly's - she was grumpy but sort of looking forward to it.  Emma was going to be there today so that's good (not sure who Emma is).  I was out of my routine with the kids so everything tool longer than usual.  It didn't help that I woke up with a headache and have a pulled neck muscle.  Advil here I come.

I had an ortho consultant with Dr. Peters.  He laid out the next 3-12 months.  I took good notes and we can talk about it in person.

Jackson is at a play date with Saad - a kid from his class.  I dropped him off at lunch and will pick him up after work.  He also has soccer tryouts tonight.  Yeah! nO!  Yeah?

Wilson is Wilson and wants to have a play date with anyone, light fireworks, dig holes in the yard, watch a movie, swing on the tire swing, eat cheese balls, get pizza from Sam's, play tennis at the MAC, etc.

Brenden has been great with the kids (i think).  They were clean, fed, and not bleeding when I got home.  He CONSTANTLY text's his friend Katie.  I've left him alone and not given him a hard time.  Seems a bit silly but he's 15.  She's called several times and they actually talk.  Amazing

got to go.  love you

Busy Day buts its all good

Wil peed the bed again.  It was the third time this week.  I was doing laundry of sheets and a comforter before 7.

Brenden wore black socks and his flip flops.  I said nothing.  Maybe that's the style - jeez I hope so.  It would however look good with Under Armor and a sweater vest.

I made 2 lunches this morning; one for J and his Cross Roads Village field trip and the other was because Wil didn't want to left out.

Wil had fitness day today.  He had a great time or so he says.  http://www.haslett.k12.mi.us/education/components/docmgr/default.php?sectiondetailid=7733&fileitem=11181&catfilter=1953

Everly and I went to Rocking Horse this morning.  It was the last Friday before the year ended and I wanted her to see it with all the kids and all the teachers.  Miss Ally was there - she asked about you but then all the teachers did.  Allison and Miss Kelly were there but wont be next year.  They all asked about Wil, too.  It was fun and Everly seemed to have a great time.  She's totally psyched to go and cant wait to ditch Kelly's.

I got a haircut and brought your sister an Olga sandwich and salad.  Lindsey was wearing a crazy outfit that i was sure she had lost a bet over.  No one would actually choose to wear that horrific ensemble.  I said something to your sister and she said "I'm so happy someone else noticed that train wreck".  We laughed.

Dropped off the rental car.  All was good and they billed Citizens.  We'll see if they pay it or if they pass it along to us.

Picked up the van.  It looks great and they cleaned it well.  Other than a few minor blemishes, it looks as good ass it has in a long time.  $3750 insurance, $240 for the electrical wiring thingy.

Brenden's off to Nick's.  We just had a big thunderstorm..  I bought flowers and veggie plants.  Hope to get them in the ground tomorrow.

Love you - now off to the tire swing because the fucking rain stopped.

Wednesday - Hump Day!!

Hi bbeautiful wife,
I'm on calls nearly all day today so as I listen in on a call (one that I'm not leading), I'm going to multi-task and give you a blog update.

This week has been tiresome and so busy.  Thankfully there are no practices or games to deal with.  the lawn needs mowing, garden needs tilling, B and I are working on the side yard and I need to get more soil.  I also need to spray the yard for clover and some other irritating weeds.  I also bought a new leaf/grass blower with my bday money from mom and dad but have yet to take it out of the box.

I did grocery shop last night and while I didn't get everything, i got the critical items to get us through a few days.

E - she's had a good week.  She enjoyed her bday weekend and the dinner at Chili's.  Not the same without you but she understood.  She loves her bike and can ride it like a champ.  I cleaned her room the last 2 nights and hung up nearly all her clothes.  She wore a dress 2 or 3 times last week and everyday this week.  I also went through her dresses and picked out shorts or leggings.  I also collected all her bows and we played 'pair them up' and then i hung them on the back of her door.

B - he needs a haircut and we may do it tonight or for sure tomorrow.  He's doing good, I think.  He's happy to be done with practice but a little sad that he doesn't see his team mates every day.  We need to find a fun activity.  He bickers with J and W but nothing new there.  He wants to attend the overnight lacrosse camp at Western June 21-24 (http://www.lightninglax.com/central.html).  J and W have Y day camp  (PaWaPi) that week.  I want thinking you can take him to Kalamazoo on Sunday and drop him off.  It starts on Monday at noon and my mom and dad can get him there.  It ends at noon on Thursday and you could pick him up and bring him home.  Thoughts?  I want to register him soon so lets talk about it.  Even if you don't drive or don't come home one of those weekends I'll drive to Kzoo and pick or take him.  The camp is about $500 but i figured we'd pay him at least that much through the summer.  He helps alot even if he doesn't 'do' much.  I bought him a new Xbox game so he currently loves me.

J - all good there.  he always wants to play catch at 8:00 and I'm usually totally whipped by that time.  School is easy and he does his home work without issue.  i signed him up for a basketball camp at the MAC the same week E has a rockinghorse camp.  its 1/2 day, m-th.  He's very excited.

W - oh, what to say about stinky?  He is Wil, through and through.  Happy and fearless.  always comes up with the weirdest stuff to say totally off the wall.  he still begs to touch and have me lay with him at night.  he peed extra last night (currently washing bedding).  I signed him up for youth tennis at the mac the same week as J's BB camp.  its only for an hour.

I need to listen.  hope your doing well - love you lots and cant wait to see you in a few days.  I hope and pray your doing well on finals and they aren't tearing you up too much.

"It's Weird Talking to My Dad about This"

Words that definitly get your attention...

So, I shaved my pubes last night and now they itch like crazy.  Is that normal?

Normal? Ahh, yes.  Yes it is.  Why did you shave?

My pubes were getting really long and getting pinched in my cup.  Isiah says he does it and I figured all guys do it.

No, they don't.  Some do and those are mostly gay men or porn stars.  And unless you plan on keeping it bald, plan on them itching everytime you do it.

Ok, I'm not doing it again.

Good grief.

A Poem

we hug we kiss a wave goodbye
a smile a hug a tearful eye

our time a part is short and sweet
a day 4 days not nearly a week

we work we study we sleep the night
the days go by with lips pursed tight

then i awake with no more sleeps
anxious for the time to leap

youre home again just like before
your time away seems nevermore

and then it starts again you see
we wave goodbye just you and me

i love you

Your Post Made Me Sad

I read your last post from Friday.  I wish i could be there for you always.  I wish I could make things okay - or better than okay.  I wish you felt happier and more confident.

I wish I could make it all better.

I love you

Our Little Van Gough

Joyce asked me if I would be interested in sedning Wilsoin to a week long are camp at the Kalamazoo Institute of Art.  She offered to pay.
http://www.kiarts.org/page.php?page_id=238

It from Monday through Friday, 9:00 to 4:00.  I'm not sure how I would coordiante it but wanted to get your input.  It looked very cool and I bet Wil would love it.  But a week?  Not sure.

Gee, your teeth look great

Forgot to tell you, right before we left on Sunday, my mom asked all the kids to brush their teeth.  From the other room I could hear Jackson bitching about the taste of the tooth paste. Blah blah blah.  I heard my mom yell to him to zip it, or something like that.  You know - totally Jackson complaining.

Before we leave, I went into the bathroom to collect their toothbrushes.  J's has this thick white stuff on the bristles (I'm laughing as I type this).  Turns out Jackson used diaper rash cream, not toothpaste. Oh did we all laugh, and laugh, and laugh.  It was very funny.

Until J started crying.  I felt bad and had to talk with him until he felt better.

No worries - just funny.

Great Weekend! Thanks.

Home and on the eve of another busy week.  Soccer practice, 3 lacrosse games, ortho appt and a nice little deadline on Friday.  We're all unwinding and getting ready for bed.  Car's unpacked and we've all been snacking.  I had some more of the bean soup and think its as good or better than any ive ever made.  I've been making a to-do list.  So many little things to do.  I also want to call on karate or tae kwan do classes for Wil.  He's asked me about 10 times to call and check on it for him - we'll see.  Dont forget to sign our 2009 taxes next weekend.  I want to mail them next week.

I went through their folders - it took 30 minutes to look at all the crap.  I wrote checks to the school for all the boys lunches, Wilson's school pictures (i took the same sheet as we did for J) and a check for Kelly.  There was also a pre-registration form for Wil going into second grade (God help us).

Everly is not happy with cloth diapers for her new doll and I don't have the energy to look for a disposable. I told her there several cloth but she wants the 'soundy' kind (sounds like paper?).

Brenden is downstairs playing his new vid game.  I probably won't see him until 10:30.

Wilson is watching TV and maybe asleep.

Jackson seems very clingy - he wants to be wherever I am.  Which is nice but annoying.

It's almost 9 so im going to get them ready for bed and watch some TV.  I hope studying is going well and that you do great on your exams next week.

Love

Oh Blog, how i've missed you

Hello Ris - what a day, what a week, what a month.  I've caught up on laundry and am getting stuff around for the weekend in Kalamazoo.

Kid update:
Brenden is at his lacrosse game.  It's in Holt and he got a ride to the HS.  It's nice they offer buses to all away games.  He was in a pretty good mood today after school.  I let him wear shorts all week.

Jackson - at this moment he is bouncing a ball in the garage.  It's driving me nuts.  Tonight is his first soccer practice.  Good thing i didn't have to drive to practice.  Nothing like being a cabbie.

Wilson is playing his DS which he has been playing constantly since we got home from Kalahari. He had a field trip to the MSU butterfly house.  It was fun, he said.

Everly is just bouncing around everywhere.  She is happy and a total brat.  I took out her braids last night. those fucking things took 45 minutes.  45 minutes

Got to run to practice.  We love you and miss you.  I miss you.

You're doing great.  Go easy on yourself - you'll get there.  And we will be standing right beside you.

I Ate Wings for Dinner

I stopped and bought 10 wings from the EL wings place on my way home from the baseball draft.  They were great - hot and spicy.  I hid them in the garage until the kids went to bed.

Your mom and Steve seemed to have a good time.  The kids were all bathed and ready for bed.  She even unloaded the dishwasher.  I was very, very thankful.

Long day.  I did 30 minutes of work even before the kids woke up.  Then school mode.  E was at Kelly's by 8:15.  Then I went back home and worked until about 10:30.  Then to Jersey Giant for a sub and off to Stillman's for a haircut.  Back to work at my office by 12:15.  Worked until 4 and then picked up Everly.  Home then started dinner and your mom got here.  Then off to Tony M's smoke factory.  Home by 8:30 and eating wings at 9:20.

I hopre the pasta was good.  I miss you and love you.  I'm going to watch TV and go to bed.

Saturday, ahhhhh

You're at work.  I'm feeding our little invalid. She insisted and to get her to eat, i'll do about anything.  She's tired but in pretty good spirtis.  When we got home, she marched into the bathroom and puked.  Poor girl.  I picked up some amoxycillin (free) and gave her a dose.  Hoepfully she will take a big nap.

That's all youre getting for now.  E's on the move.

In Battle between Garth and Hair, Garth Wins (today)

Happy St. Patricks's Day.  I feel pretty rested today - at least better than the last few days.  The kids are up and moving and looking green.  I'm hurrying to get out of the house but wanted to do a quick blog.  It's hard to do it at work being so busy. I did forget to wear green.  Oh well.
I got all your Supernotes - they opened fine and I will print them all - or maybe only the first quarter notes?
Wilson got a red card yesterday at school.   We talked it over at length.  He was upset and crying.  I wasn't a jerk but was very firm with him.  He told me he had gotten a yellow earlier in the day for coloring when Ms. King told the class to stop.  Afte lunch he and 2 others were goofing around, talking out of turn, and BAM! Red card.  He was pretty upset and we talked about it for a while.  All's fine.
Lacrosse driving sucks but at least I'm off the hook for the rest of the week.  If this new chick buys into the schedule, I will only have to drive on Tuesday's.  Sweeet!
W, E and B are all a little coughy. Nothing too bad but they all have something cruddy.
Okay - I've got to get to work.  love you

Day Ligth Savings Sucks

Second evening where I couldn't fall asleep until midnight.  I'm tired. But awake.  E is curled up next to me and Im just about to wake her up.  J's in the shower using every last ounce of hot water.  W - still asleep and B is off to the bus.
B was not looking so energetic after practice.  The coaches ran their butt's off.  He and W are getting a cough and I'm hoping it won't keep Wilson home.  He just got up and it sounds kind of croupy.  OK - off to start my day.  love you

Wednesday, March 10, 2010

Uh Oh, Poopy!

Words you do not want to hear.  Kelly said E had a rough day.  She was very winey and tired but wouldn't take a nap.  She said she had to poop when we left Kelly's and I asked her is she could wait until we got home.  She said she could.  Apparently, she couldn't.  Yuck.

I made tortellini and all the kids tore it up.  Wil ate alot - God help the bathroom tomorrow.

I'm tired and going to watch TV.  E's asleep and J and Wil are minutes away from the same.  We all can't wait for you to be home.  I hope your drive is safe and feels short.  We love you.

Where the hell is the spell check?  I added comments and turned on the new editor.

And Were Off!!

The morning, I mean.
Showers - check
breakfast - check
hair - check
snacks - check
backpacks - check
Coats - check
folders - check

love you

whew - im whooped

I'm too tired to even capitalize the title of this blog. I'm amazed at how the days are just a whirlwind of activity. I'm sure the same for you. I at least have the comfort that most of my actions are almost automatic where yours are new and different and strange.

I did better this morning - being prepared makes all the difference in the world. I also tackled E's hair right off and didn't procrastinate. Admittedly, the last couple of days were pony days (and tomorrow will be, too). Having outfits set aside has been awesome - Thank you.

The house looks pretty good - no more messy than usual I guess. We had fish stick and noodles and peas for dinner. The kids love fish sticks and they were actually decent. Not too much breading and the fish wasn't all minced. Next time I need 2 boxes because there was just enough for the kids. I had chili with hot sauce and it was darn good.

This evening was CRAZY. E bouncing off the wall (no nap at Kelly's), J with lots of homework, and W with a worksheet he needed help with with. I was a bit short tempered but i took a break by myself and cooled out. E passed out at 8:30 and J and W were in bed my 9:05. I also made banana bread.

Time for sleep. Oh yeah - your grandma just called and wanted to know how you were doing. She sounded sincerely interested in hearing about you and school. She didn't cry or talk about blood in her urine. Call her - she would love to hear from you. Are you reading my blogs? love you

Monday, March 8, 2010

Went for Chinese today at lunch. I'm full.

Everly's Hair

This morning definitely took longer than Friday. J and W were moving slow and E wanted to goof off. Admittedly, I was not as prepared as I should have been. Today was wear slippers day in Jack's class and I spent more time than I should have looking for something that would work (no luck). I will say J rolls with it and doesn't get all teary or sulky.

E's hair needed 3 tries for the basic poney. It was a 5 out of 10 (all on my scale, now).

Got to run and do lots of work. Of yeah - I got to work at 8:50 (yeesh).

Love ya - hope your first day is going well.

No TV Saturday

6:58AM - Wil: "I can't watch TV. What am I supposed to do? Let's play a game."
Me: "please leave me alone. It's too early for this"
7:02AM - Wil: "We can't watch TV on all Saturday's in March?"
Me: "no, just today"
7:12 AM - Wil: "can I play the wii?"
Me: "go ahead, watch TV"
Wilson -1, Dad - 0

Made pancakes for all. Isiah was the most gracious of the bunch. We played and cleaned and rested and ate. Wil, Isiah and I left at about 1:30. Droped Isiah off at his sweet house in Whitehills North and then off to Yoga. Wil: "Do I have to go? How many more times? I do like it but it would be fun if we didn't do Yoga." Yeah, right.

Home, basketball, rollerblading, took Christmas lights and balls down. Threw snowballs and talked with Adina. J went to Patricks, Wilson played outside and was content throwing snowballs and anything and everything. B came out and shot hoops with me for a while. We talked and cleared the air.

E wore her pullup until I left at 1:30 so her hoohah was a bit sore. oops
J is obsessing over hos year book. and i mean obsessing.

E and W got a bath and then we ate frozen pizza. If i have the energy I'm going to the grocery store.
I'm out. We miss you.

love all

E just came in our bedroom and she says you said she could sleep in our bed any time she wanted. I told her no and that I was going to ask you. She responded by saying she loves me, gave me a big hug and ran out of the room.

Morning 1 is in the books

Decent morning - out of the house by 745. E manipulated me into believing it was PJ day - it wasn't but no harm done. She ate hummus for breakfast. B forgot some school stuff so I dropped that off to him. E's hair got a big barrette and a small one on the side. I give it a 4 on the 1-10 Marissa scale or a 7 on the 1-10 Garth scale.

The boys were good and did what they needed to do. Wilson is SO much better in the morning than he used to. If their close are laid out, they do their thing. Got to go. love you

Let the count down begin...but in reverse

Well, here we are on day one of the journey. I'm so glad you made it safe and sound. Sorry about the wrong turn but I bet you never go that way again.

Here's a quick video of Everly after we got home from Kelly's. The snow was crusty and she just floated on top. Me, of course, sunk to the ground. I did not float.

Just got done with dinner - -everyone ate well. Those Kogels are pretty good. The skin gives them a bit of a crunch. Homework is done for J and W. B is still working on his. Jackson got invited to Patrick's bday party at Marvel Lanes in a few weeks.

We don't have any milk or yogurt. I guess I'll stop at pick groceries up tomorrow after work.

All the kids asked if you made it - i told them you had. Everly and J and said at least once they miss you. All is good here. Hope for you, too.

Love Me

One day. ONE DAAAYYYY!

I can't believe it. Its scary and awesome at the same time. I'm so excited for you and a little freaked out. I think this will be good for us. Even though we've made leaps and bounds since last year - the time apart will help solidify things for us. At least that's what I'm telling myself. It will all be good.

I may only blog a few words but I'm going to try and do it everyday your gone.

I love you

Quick Update

Nothing really juicy - just saying HHeeeeeyyyyy!". You're at work, we just ate dinner (chicken nuggets, waffle fries, and bread). Everyone gobbled it up - even Everly. Now im off soon with jackson to his musical thing. Hope its cool. Today was a pretty good day - nothing much happened really. But those days are good for their uneventfulness. Hope you had a good day, too. Everly and Wil say they love you

Fourteen Days and Counting...

I can't believe its only 14 days until your first over-nights in IL.  It seems like just yesterday we were seriously talking about it and how it felt years away.  Such is time, I guess.  Rolling on, day after day.  I suppose it will feel the same when the summer comes, then school, then fall, Halloween, Christmas, etc.  It won't be long until were planning your graduation.  I can't wait (not to get ahead of myself).
Another busy week - we went to glow-swim at the MAC last night (should I suspend your membership?), went to Culver's for dinner, your Dad was in the hospital, etc.
I've got to run - I love you

Friday

Good Morning - 20 days to go.  Whew!
I was thinking about what to write or post or whatever.  I want it to be fun for you to log on and see what's happening.  Not that you won't know what's going on, just another way to stay plugged in.  Should I focus more on the kids, me, Daisie, etc.?
I think i'll just ramble.  I don't intend for this to be a chore.
Do you know where my Ipod is?
Love you

Whew, this is a lot of work

I think about blogging everyday but don't actually do it.  I'll get better after you leave but for now I'm just trying to develop a habit (like heroin or online porn).  Anyway...I'm in Canada and coming home today.  You are currently at a dr. appt. and texting me that youre pissed it's is taking so long.
I slept pretty well unlike the night before.  Work seems a bit streesful as I wind down in Sarnia.  If I look at my workload, I don't have enough work to keep me busy through 2010.  I've talked to lots of people and they assure me the work is coming and that I will be very busy soon enough (truer words, right?).  Enough about work.  I'm looking forward to comin home to you and the kids.  Not sure why, but with all your planning for school and moving I'm feeling closer to you.  Maybe its just me getting ready to miss you when your gone.  Gotta go.  Love you.  Where the hell is the spell check on the f'ing edit menu?  Ooh this program makes me mad!

What I'll miss about Canada (or not)

This may be my last trip to Canada for along time. I have one more day trip scheduled in February but will see if I really have to go. I thought I would mention a few things I'll miss about Canada, and a few things I wont.
I will miss:
  • the people I work with. I've met some cool people and it's kinda neat to have 'international friends'. Yes, Canada is international.
  • the work. I do cool stuff on this project and when it goes away i will likely go back to boring stuff.
  • Duty free customs. Cheap booze rocks.
  • the occasional quiet night in the hotel. No kids to put to bed, no dishes to do.
  • the toilet paper at the facility is not in roll-form. It is by the sheet - you can take handfuls.

I won't miss:

  • Being away from home. While it sometimes is okay (see above), the times i miss you all outweigh the quiet times.
  • The border crossing hassles.
  • Terrible food and no culture to speak of in Sarnia.
  • silly tax laws that make doing my taxes a pain.

Gotta work - love you

Weekends Over

I didn't blog this weekend so I wanted to catch up. The weekend is over and it was a busy one.
What sis we do on Friday? Can't remember now. Oh yeah, we went to the Blue Gill Grill for dinner. Fish was a little greasy but good.
Saturday Brenden and I went to the MSU BB game - MSU won - yea!
In the evening we went bowling with Kami and Drew. For the most part, all our kids behaved.
Four new baby fish. You obsessively captured them all in put them in the breeder tank. TY
Sunday, Brenden and I went and saw Sherlock Holmes and you took the kids with Kami to Castaway Cafe. Every puked - naturally. Then we met at home and I made tortellini. Kami and Drew stayed for dinner.
Good weekend. Love you gotta run.
3:30 PM on Monday
49 days until school starts.

Just got back from lunch

You went to the MAC this morning and then met me for lunch. Although we planned to go to Sahara, your dumb ass went to Sindu's. That was good since Sindu is better than Sahara's/ You had your last Dr. appt with Dr. Colony this AM.
You got up earlier than usual and it was nice to have your help. The morning went smoothly even though Everly cried a bit when I dropped her off at Kelly's.
A week ago we were all shitting and puking. The rotovirus kicked our ass.
Your stressed about all things Worsham. Apartment, Rachel, food, work, money, registration. It will all work out because it always does. You'll see when you read this.
I wonder if you'll make dinner tonight? You said you were bored. I hope so.
Love you

Hello Week

So, I'm still figuring out what I'm blogging about. Especially, since you aren't in school yet. I'm going to free form this until I get a rhythm. For now, it will be more about what did we do and what are we going to do.
I keep thinking about why I'm doing this. To stay connected, to tell you about our day to day stuff, to keep a record of our year.
Cleaned the fish tank last night. Ammonia is high and we lost 3 fish [read: 3 fish DIED]. Wil doesn't seem to concerned. He wanted to make it clear that is wasn't his fault.
So...
16 fish purchased
9 fish dead
7 fish remain

It has been fun. If nothing else, it provides a good conversation piece for the family.

The Weekend's Over

MSU women's BB game, puking, diarrhea, movie with Kami, shopping at Target and Pier One, more puking, more diarrhea. Blah - at least were feeling better. You and I seemed to be on each other last nerve. Why? WHy can't we seem to just talk without pissing each other off?

Hmm, what to call it?

I'm just testing out this idea. Can I blog once a day (or more) while your at Worsham? My intent (more on that later) is to give you a look into our day. Don't get me wrong. I'm not doing this to make you feel guilty or to highlight the things your missing. On the contrary, I'm doing this to share with you all the serious, silly, ridiculous, annoying, happy, thrilling, appalling, nauseating, joy-filled, and utterly family things that are happening.
Today is Friday, January 8. It was the second sick day for our whole family. Puking and diarrehia. Were on the mend. Your napping (shocking) and you got your new phone today.
W is fighting with E. B and J are playing

That's it for now,

57 days and counting.

Love you
